The REMREC Consortium Private Limited is a service providing company. It is a forum of multi-disciplinary professionals (Engineers, Agriculturists, Sociologists, Foresters, Statisticians, Economists, Environmental Scientists, Development Lawyers, Social Mobilization & Public Health Experts, and so on) with expertise in different sectors who work together as necessary to carry out research, enhance peoples capacities and provide consultancy services to business firms, government/non-government organizations and donor communities. REMREC brings together both young and experienced professionals to provide quality services to clients and to build up the capacity of its own members.
The consortium works in line with the dictum “Private sector is the pillar of national development”. It is a sister company of Kavre based NGO Resource Management and Rural Empowerment Centre (REMREC). Headquartered in Dhulikhel, it is registered (71620/2066/67) in Company Registrar’s Office of Nepal in March 2010. It is also registered in Inland Revenue Office Bhaktapur for PAN/VAT purposes.
Areas of Work
REMREC Consortium Private Limited provides services in three major areas: (a) Consultancy services, (b) capacity building and (c) carrying out research studies on the following sectors:
- Engineering;
- Agriculture and Irrigation;
- Governance, Economic and social sector;
- Natural resources, Environment, Renewable Energy and Climate change; and
- Other works as demanded by clients.
Currently, the REMREC Consortium is carrying out Initial Environment Studies on Collection of Boulders, Gravel and Sand from different rivers of Kavre and Dhading Districts supported by the respective District Development Committees.
Working Modality
It is managed by a management team of full time professionals and staff members. Presently, we have 10 full time incumbents working on proposal & report writing, contract dealing, administrative and financial works. It has established network with 65 local non-governmental organizations working in different areas and 5 privately run training centers in different locations of the country. It also provides opportunities to higher level students/researchers to carry out internship/thesis/project works allowing them to gain experience in the field.
