Notice for Hiring Policy Review Consultants

“Resource Management and Rural Empowerment Center (REMREC) has been promoting Community-Based Inclusive Development (CBID) to foster collective action in building resilient, equitable, and inclusive communities for all, in partnership with CBM Global Nepal Country Office. REMREC is currently implementing the CBID project ‘SAHAKARYA: Collective Actions for Inclusive Development’ in Namobuddha Municipality and Roshi Rural Municipality of Kavre district from 2024 to 2028. The project formally commenced on April 15, 2024, with the overall objective of enhancing the quality of life for persons with disabilities in Namobuddha Municipality and Roshi Rural Municipalities through inclusive, resilient, and accessible services and programs.

 

Resource Management and Rural Empowerment Center (REMREC), a prominent sub-national non-governmental organization, invites applications with proposals from qualified Nepali nationals/firms for immediate hiring for the review existing policies from a disability inclusion perspective and provide technical support for revising and formulating new policies in Namobuddha Municipality and Roshi Rural Municipality.

 

Job Title

Required Academic Qualification, Experience and Training

Required Knowledge and Skills

Policy Review Consultant

 

Minimum bachelor’s in law with least 3 years’ experience on policies review and formulations of government policies

 

·        Strong knowledge and understanding on Disability, disability rights, UNCRPD, and disability inclusive development

·        Good understanding of national level disability, health, education, DRR related policies, guideline and action plans of government of Nepal

·        Excellent on analytical review, reporting and documentation.

·        Good coordination and facilitation skills with local government

·        Excellent documentation & presentation skills including analytical and report writing skills.

·        Ability to travel to remote areas and proficiency in English & Nepali.
